Since its inception in April 1898, the Association has worked industriously to ensure that WA maintains and continually develops its Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service Brigades.

The Association provides representation to more than 2,500 members of over 90 Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service Brigades from Kununurra to Esperance to Kalgoorlie – including a number of Brigades in the Perth metropolitan area.

Since its inception in April 1898, the Association has worked industriously to ensure that WA maintains and continually develops its Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service Brigades.

We support and encourage the progress of Fire and Rescue Service Volunteer Brigade members and their Brigades through representation.

We promote the fitness and discipline of volunteer firefighters and the improvement of firefighting skills through competitions.

We seek to develop a community understanding, knowledge and respect for the Volunteer Fire Service.
