The NSW Rural Fire Service Association

Proud to be recognised as the representative association of the volunteers and staff of the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW Rural Fires Act 1997).

The Association is managed by its Members and our primary aim is ‘Supporting our Members to Protect the Community’.

We are the ‘Authoritative Voice” in representing the volunteers and of the NSW RFS.

We support our volunteers in many ways including our annual Grants Program open to all NSW RFS brigades and units around the State, the sponsorship of training exercises and NSW RFS events, education scholarships, Volunteers’ Family Days, Chaplaincy, Counselling and Family Support and an Honours and Awards program.

The Association has more than 48,000 registered members.
